Ranging in size from one to 13 acres, the home sites have been generously spaced to retain the classic Western atmosphere inherent to the ranching history of this land and to take advantage of their miles of views.

Property owners are invited to join the private Red Sky Golf Club extending a variety of social events, tournaments and private golf play on two unique courses.  Additionally, owners in the Red Sky Ranch community have the exclusive opportunity to join the Bachelor Gulch Club, offering season ski passes, slopeside valet parking, private on‑mountain dining and access to the spa and fitness center at The Ritz‑Carlton, Bachelor Gulch.  For more information on membership at Red Sky Golf Club or the Bachelor Gulch Club, please contact the Signature Clubs Sales Team: (970) 754-4250

History

The Jouflas Family has owned and ranched this land since 1926. Peter Jouflas was among the first Greek immigrants to arrive in western Colorado. It was the early 1900's and the family was in search of grazing land for their sheep. In order to supplement their income, some ventured into additional business including shoeshine shops, restaurants, and theatres throughout western Colorado. The ranch in Wolcott, which now constitutes the majority of the community of Red Sky Ranch, was purchased in 1926. Some say that the mountains of Colorado must have reminded these families of the mountains in their homelands of central Greece.

Today, Peter’s descendants still reside in the area from Wolcott to Grand Junction. His son George maintained the family ranching tradition for many years.  Having had a hand in establishing the community of Wolcott, it is important to the Jouflas family that the growth of the area be carefully managed. Vail Resorts Development Company has worked closely with the Jouflas' and other neighbors in creating a common vision for the enjoyment of this special area by more families.
